River Prison Camp

“Overwatch Team in place,” Nick's voice comes over my headphones.

“Copy, keep an eye on us,” I say in return.

“Don’t worry assault team we got your six,” Nick’s voice comes back. Be advised looks like they are on alert. We found a total of six sentry points. Guards were on guard but not real attentive. I think they have spent too many lazy days getting complacent.”

“Copy, break,” I say. “Boat Team, Ambush Team, this is Assault One. SITREP.” Using the military acronym for a situation report.

“Assault One, this is Boat One, we are good.”

“Assault One, Ambush. We are good.”

“Roger, Boat Team start your run,” I respond.

“Copy, Boat Team is moving,” the Platoon Leader responds and I can hear his outboard motor pick up pitch coming through his radio transmission.

If everything goes as planned, the boat crew will go by the camp in the stolen boats and draw the enemy boat teams to the river. We are hoping they chase them upriver where another team is in position to ambush them. They have a Humvee positioned with a winch cable sunk under the water and crossing the river. Once our team crosses that point the Humvee will back up pulling the cable, that is wrapped around a tree on the opposite bank tight. This should nock everyone into the water without damaging the boats. Once they are in the water our shooters can take them out.

The second phase of the attack will be the assault phase. Charles, Church, and I will each lead a team to hit the camp from different positions and eliminate the targets, and secure the prisoners. Hopefully without losing any of the women or girls in the crossfire. We will have Nick, Shannon, and their teams providing overwatch to take out any targets we miss or are coming up on our back. The plan is to secure the camp in twenty minutes or less. Then spend the rest of the night disassembling everything and moving it to Tony’s property.

Within minutes of the Start of the boat run, we can hear the outboard motors at high RPM making their way downriver.

“Overwatch One what do you see?” I ask into my radio headset.

“The camp is definitely taking notice of the noise,” Nick responds back.

“Copy, let us know when we are clear to advance. Assault Two and Assault Three stand by to move in,” I respond back.

“Roger,” Church responds.

“Copy,” is the response from Charles.

“Bodies moving towards the riverboats, stand by,” Nick says. “Assault teams go. Your entry points are clear. Good luck guys.”

As soon as Clark and I hear the go-ahead we move from our spot hiding behind a fallen log and move up to the fence surrounding the facility. I quickly get the fence cut and move the chain link and barbwire out of the way and then move through the hole I made. Private Clark moves up and holds the fence back while the other two members of our element move through.

Within a few seconds, my team of four assaulters are inside the camp and ready to wreak havoc down upon our foes.
